Songs to sing :

Hi Ho

Hi-ho, hi-ho, 100 days ago

We came to school

And we're so cool!

Hi- ho, Hi-ho!

We've Been Working In Our Classroom

(Tune: I've Been Working on the Railroad)

We've been working in our classroom

For 100 days.

We've been working in our classroom

Here in Room 118.

Rising early in the morning

Bring books and pencils too!

Every day at Central Elementary

We learn something new!

Zero the Hero

Zero the Hero is a little puppet who visits our classroom every tenth day of school.  We count the days in school every day during our Greeting Meeting.  Whenever we add a number that ends with a zero, Zero the Hero pays us a visit.  He may bring us a treat that is shaped like a zero.  We sing his favorite Zero the Hero song.

Song (tune: Popeye the Sailor Man)

It's Zero the Hero Day. (clap, clap)

It's Zero the Hero Day. (clap, clap)

We're so glad you came to kindergarten today.

It's Zero the Hero Day! (clap, clap)

Some Zero the Hero treats:  Apple Jacks, Fruit Loops, Lifesavers, Cheerios, Oreo O's cereal, bagels, Fudge Stripe cookies (Keebler) We will gladly accept donations for Zero the Hero treats!
